18-05-2012 On 17-05-12 Forenoon Circle Secretary Com..M.Gopinathan along with ACS Com.O.MytheenPillai , Com. P.G.Lakshmipathy, DS, STR, Com.R.Padma BS, Guindy STR Branch and Com.C.K.Ganesh met Shri..N.Haribabu, ITS, the newly joined GM (HQ), STR, Chennai and felicitated.
18-05-2012 CHQ NEWS:Hon High Court of Delhi out rightly dismissed the modification application filed by BSNL seeking 25 months time for repatriation of unabsorbed ITS officers working in BSNL. Even desperate plea made by the BSNL counsel to give time upto 31st December, 2012 was rejected by the Hon Court. Hon HC while dismissing the application of BSNL directed it to complete repatriation process by 30th Sept, 2012.
Intervention application was filed by BSNLEU, SNEA(I) and AIBSNLEA. Eventhough the intervention application was also dismissed, yet counsel appearing for these Associations/unions strongly opposed the move of ITS controlled BSNL Management for extension of time. Intervention application was not admitted on technical grounds since we are not party in the original application.
Further course of legal action is being discussed with our counsel.
17-05-2012 Proposed agitation programme against the Tanjore administration deferred:
Today evening,TN Circle administration invited SNEA(I) TN Circle to discuss about the Tanjore issue for amicable settlement. Circle secretary Com.M.Gopinathan and ACS Com.O.Mydeenpillai attended the meeting.
TN Circle administration assured in writing that the issues raised by us,will be settled with in TWO WEEKS time by GM/TNJ with out insisting the LONG STAY / ROTATIONAL TRANSFERS.As a good gesture,the proposed agitation programme is deferred.
Congratulations to all comrades who made hectic preparations to defeat the sinister move of Tanjore administration.

15-05-2012 As unanimously resolved in the CEC to go on agitation to completely defeat the sinister moves of the Tanjore SSA administration, today Circle secretary Com.M.Gopinathan, ACS Com.R.Rajasekhar and Chennai Div I CEC member Com.S.Balasubramanian met GM (Admin.) and CGMT / TN Circle and served the agitation notice.
Programme of Action:
18.05.2012–Friday:
a) Full day Dharna in front of Thanjavur GM office.
b) Sending Telegrams by District Secretaries to the CGM, Tamilnadu Circle, Director HR, Corporate office, New Delhi.
c) Lunch hour Demonstration at all SSA HQs of Tamilnadu Circle.
19.05.2012- Saturday:
Demonstration in front of Circle Office/Chennai.
Future Course of action will be decided in consultation with CHQ.
All office bearers and activists are requested to make preparations for the agitation.

14-05-2012 The Second CEC meeting of SNEA(I), Tamilnadu Circle was held at Conference Hall, O/o The PGMT, Trichy on 12/05/2012. Com.Gopinathan unveiled the new Flagstaff plaque and Com.Sundarakrishnan, Circle president hoisted the flag at the new Flag staff in front of Telephone Exchange. The colourful and well organized CEC meeting was Presided by Com.S.Sundarakrishnan, Circle President and Com. Rangasamy, District President Trichy Division welcomed the participants. The deliberations of the CEC meeting are as follows.

Com.Sundarakrishnan, Circle President during his presidential address emphasised the importance of conducting regular meetings at Branch level and also enrolling more number of new members especially direct recruitment JTOs. If required DSs can do special drive to merge branches where membership strength is less due to retirement or transfers. He appreciated Nagercoil Comrades for enrolling new members.

Com. Gopinathan, presented the Brief report on activities of SNEA (I), TN Circle for the period from 30-05-11 to 10-05-12. Circle Secretary informed that almost all individual cases were given prime importance and settled. Action will be taken to settle the pending individual cases if any. CS informed that some slackness is felt in the implementation of Core committee suggestions at SSA level and Circle level. He emphasized that all our activists and core committee members should revive the core committee meetings at SSA level and to strain hard for its implementation. Propagation of core committee suggestions to the grass root level members is to be done by all. He also called upon the participants to concentrate on revenue growth, to change the work culture and to work with team spirit and positive attitude, to make the subscribers delightful by settling their genuine demands and to fight against wrong and whimsical policies at corporate level.He also explained the status of the unwarranted long standing / rotational SDEs transfer orders issued by Tanjore administration to accommodate JTOs at Tanjore Head quarters which is a clear cut favoritism. He appealed the house to debate on this burning issue and to guide the Circle body.

The CEC unanimously resolved to give mandate to Circle Secretary to go on agitation in respect of Tanjore issue. Circle secretary in consultation with CP, CFS and other activists will announce the course of agitation shortly.

CS urged upon the participants to respond to the ensuing programs of organizational actions in a exemplary and dedicated manner so as to completely defeat the sinister moves of the Tanjore administration.

Com. V.Jayaraman presented the Statement of accounts for the period from 21-05-2011 to 31-03-12. All the DSs were requested to pursue and settle the pending bills of Diary from 2010 to 2012. CFS emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity which is absolutely required to conduct the ensuing agitation.

 

Com. Panduranga Nayak, AGS / CHQ while addressing stressed that at circle level action should be taken to implement industrial EB tariff instead of Commercial tariff as done in Maharashtra Circle. Each circle is best in some factors, there should be proper communication among them so that ideas can properly be shared and all are beneficiaries. Dr JTOs should come forward and address their grievance in all meetings and also should participate in activities. For Rule 8 and EPF cases importance should be given.

Com. Chandrasekar, AGS explained the facilities available in our new CHQ building, explained and clarified all Civil and Electrical cases / Seniority issues and DPCs / JTO Recruitment / mandatory training for TBP etc. He stressed about the necessity of involvement for the execution of marketing and sales activities.

Com. Rajan, CHQ Treasurer explained the game plan of the DOT & BSNL management and the recent developments in respect of ITS repatriation issue. Latest position of Seniority / DPCs / Court cases etc. He assured that subscription through salary deduction case will be dealt by CHQ. He made an impassioned and strong appeal to the members to be ready for a sustained struggle under the banner of JAC, Further he assured that CHQ will extend its full support in respect of Tanjore issue agitation.

    

In the afternoon an excellent and more valuable thought Sharing was performed by Shri.V.RAJU, PGM, Trichy SSA under the headline “WAY TO SUCCESS”. He explained in depth about Thought Sharing, Inspiration, Strategy, Philosophy and Approach. By citing Trichy SSA’s revenue as example he explained that Revenue increase is the only way to profitability and Reduction of wasteful expenditure is no doubt desirable but time is the essence. The highlight of the thought sharing was the explanation given by Shri.V.Raju, PGMT to the headline “Look for solutions” through the Tamil folk song “ Manapara Madukatti”. The entire gathering appreciated the PGMT for the sincere efforts taken by him to motivate the executives and also to teach them the ways to attain successful marketing.

Our Circle Vice President Com.V.S.Muthukumaran, DGM, Vellore who retired on superannuation was felicitated in the CEC meeting. He was honoured by CS,CP&CFS.

The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by Com. Jaiganesh.
We wholeheartedly thank Com.Janagiraman DS/TR,Com.Rangasamy DP/TR,Com.Thamilkodi DFS/TR and Com.Jaiganesh for their excellent work to make the CEC a GRAND SUCCESS. -CS/TN.

11-05-2012 As directed by GM(A)/TN Circle,CS/TN,CHQ/TREASURER,CVP/TN,D/S TNJ Com.Palaniyappan,and D/P TNJ Com.Sivasankaran,met GM/TNJ and discussed the following points.
1.Reliving of SDEs to their parent SSAs,since suitable substitutes are posted by Circle office.
2.Issuing PLACE OF POSTINGS for officiating JTOs,even though they got orders before three months.
3.Cancellation of unwarranted transfers in the cadre of SDEs.
We have elaborately put forth our views with relevant orders issued by Circle office.But,unfortunately,GM/TNJ refused to accept our genuine demands.He has gone to the extent of telling that our ACS Com.Gunasekaran and Com.Muthuselvam should go either on TRANSFER or on DEPUTATION with out TA,TP and then only all the orders will be implemented.This is highly RIDICULOUS on his part,and TNJ issue will be discussed in our CEC and FINAL DECISION will be taken in this regard.

31-05-2011 The 4th Circle Conference of SNEA(I) Tamilnadu Circle was conducted on 28th & 29th May 2011(Saturday and Sunday) at S.N. Sons Mahal, Nagercoil in a grand manner. The open session was held on 28th May 2011 and Presided by Com. S.Sundarakrishnan, Circle President , Com. Ashokan, CS gave the Key note address. Shri Mohd. Ashraf Khan, CGMT TN Circle. Shri Kuppuswamy, GM STR Chennai and Sr. GMTD Nagercoil SSA, Shri I. Thirunavakarasu attended the function and spoke on the occassion. Our GS Com. G.L.Jogi, Com. W. Seshagiri Rao, Com. A. A. Khan, AGS, Com. M. H. Gombhi AGS, Com. Rajan Jt. Secy (S) spoke in the open session. CGM TN circle appreciated the efforts of our comrades and requested that "We should not allow closure of even a Single Connection " ALL OF US SHOULD WORK TOGETHER " and increase the Revenue of BSNL.
