25-04-2012 CHQ NEWS:BSNL management lands Company (BSNL) in bankruptcy for the first time- brings Company under market liability and debt by taking a loan of Rs. 1383.8 crores from market (Union Bank of India). Nearly Rs.63.3 crores repaid. This is beginning of serious crisis and we have to gear up to defeat the moves of the management of Company to cripple the growth of the Company. CMD and board of directors are squarely responsible for this deadly situation by not addressing and resolving critical issue of absorption of ITS. Be ready for a do or die struggle to save the Company from becoming bankrupt and expose BSNL management for its inefficiency, incompetence and deep rooted corruption.

25-04-2012 CHQ NEWS: JAC meeting on 25.04.2012 – JAC discussed the issues related to viability of BSNL and the charter of demands in the strike on 15th Dec: 2011 including relieving of unabsorbed ITS officers, 9.4% IDA merger, customer delight year etc. JAC taken some important decisions like a) to pursue immediate relieving of unabsorbed ITS officers and b) continuation of CUSTOMER DELIGHT YEAR 2012-13, improving the quality of service, extra efforts to generate additional revenue etc. President Com G. L. Jogi, GS Com K. Sebastin and former AGS Com Khan, attended the JAC meeting.

24-04-2012 Circle Secretary Com. M.Gopinathan along with Com. Leninram, Circle OS, Com.Duraipandian, DS / Electrical Division, Com. Nagarajan, SE, District President, Com.Satyanarayana, District Treasurer, Com.Sathiskumar and Com.Mohankumar ADSs met Chief Engineer (Electricals), TN Circle Shri. Dhananjeyankumar and discussed the following items.

Time bound promotion under EPP of JTO (Electrical) / EE (Electrical) – CE replied that in case of EPP of JTO (Electrical), DSC report forwarded to Circle office for necessary approval. In case of EPP of EE (Electrical), vigilance clearance is pending.

Transfer cases of JTOs and SDEs – As we suggested necessary positive action will be taken soon

Maintaining Waiting list for Transfer cases of Executives – CE agreed to maintain waiting list register.

Operational issues of Free cooling system in respect of BTSs in Coimbatore area was discussed in detail - CE (Electrical) assured to sort out the issues.

In general,CE Electrical Shri.Dhanajeyakumar discussed with a positive approach and also assured to extend the co-operation of Electrical wing for any betterment of BSNL Revenue growth.

24-04-2012 On 23-04-12 Com.M.Gopinathan, CS visited Dharmapuri SSA and had a detailed discussion on some of the core issues with Dharmapuri SSA administration. From Association side CS along with Com.Voomai Jayaraman, CFS, Dist President Com.K.Nanjundan, , Dist. VP Com.P.Radha, , ADS Com.R.Gopalan, AO, Branch Seretaries Com.J.Thamilchelvi SDE / Main Exchange Branch, Com.Venkat Ragahavan, JAO / GM Office Branch and Com.B.Mahesh Kumar, SDE / Krishnagiri Branch participated. From the administration side Shri.K.Natarajan, ITS GMT / DPI and Shri.Krishnamoorthy, AGM / Admin. participated. Following core issues were discussed.

Declination of revenue growth in the recent past in Dharmapuri SSA. This issue was discussed and analyzed in length. Steps to be taken by the administration and Association for the improvement of Revenue growth were arrived.

Shortage of funds for essential and unavoidable expenditures in DPI SSA was discussed. This is highly demotivating the executives and CS emphasized that NEED BASED MINIMUM funds for essential and unavoidable expenditures should be arranged. Mere re allotting the funds received from Circle will not solve the issue. The funds allotment by the circle shall be on real basis. Hence minimum funds for essential and unavoidable expenditures should be ensured for day to day execution. GM assured that this issue will be addressed to Circle office. We will also take up the issue with Circle office.

Inter union or association rivalry should not affect the revenue growth of DPI SSA. All should work with a team spirit to achieve the goal. GMT assured that necessary steps will be taken in future for a positive and smooth atmosphere among unions / associations.

Transfer cases of Executives also discussed.

In the evening CS and CFS attended the General body meeting at Dharmapuri. Shri.Sudhakar Reddi, DS, AIGETOA also attended the meeting.CS/TN addressed about the viability and financial growth of BSNL.

All participants praised the service done by comrade to BSNL, SNEA(I) and especially the Tamil book "THUZHIGAL" written by Com.Elangovan.

Any way, We condemn the action of serving the TRANSFER ORDERS for FOUR SDEs in the DEVELOPMENT MEETING itself, to bring FOUR JTOs on transfer to Tanjore, which is HIGHLY IRREGULAR. SNEA(I) TN Circle will fight tooth and nail against this unwarranted decision taken by the Tanjore SSA administration.-CS/TN.

Today after noon Circle Secretary, Circle President, Com.Marimuthu, DS / Chennai Div-I and Com.Balasubramanian, CEC member Chennai Div-I attended the Branch Conference of RGMTTC, Meenambakkam.Out come of NANDED AIC and other organizational matters were elaborated by CP and CS. While intimating the enhancement of monthly Subscription to Rs.70/- as per Nanded AIC decision, all members of this branch unanimously decided to enhance the monthly subscription of this branch to Rs.100/-..Com.Prasathreddi, Com.Rajkumar and Com.Mahesh were unanimously elected as Branch President, Branch Secretary and Branch Treasurer respectively.
SNEA(I), TN circle congratulates newly elected office bearers and all enthusiastic and Committed members of this branch.
